Hyundeuk Cheon is a philosopher of science interested in both the philosophical reflection on scientific advancement and the expansion of philosophical inquiry grounded in reflective scientific achievements. Hyundeuk’s recent research focuses on the philosophical and ethical issues surrounding artificial intelligence, including emotion, understanding, explainability, and transparency in AI. He received his B.S. in Physics from Seoul National University and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science from the same institution. After serving at the Ewha Institute for the Humanities, he joined the Department of Philosophy at Seoul National University in 2018 and moved to the newly established Department of Science Studies in 2022. He has been a research fellow at the SNU Institute for Cognitive Science, a visiting fellow at the Center for Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh, and a visiting researcher at the London School of Economics. In 2020, Hyundeuk was named an SNU Junior Fellow for Creative Research and received the 5th Amgok Academic Award. He currently serves as the Director of the Center for Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues in AI (ELSI) at SNU and as the editor of The Korean Journal for the Philosophy of Science (KJPS), published by the Korean Society for the Philosophy of Science.
Anthony K. Brandt 교수는 라이스대학교 셰퍼드 음대(Shepherd School of Music)에서 작곡 교수로 재직 중입니다. 네 편의 실내 오페라를 비롯하여 오케스트라, 실내악, 성악, 연극, 무용, TV 음악 등 다양한 장르의 작품을 작곡해 왔습니다. Brandt 교수는 신경과학자 David Eagleman과 함께 현재 14개국에서 출판된 The Runaway Species: How Human Creativity Remakes the World를 공동 집필한 바 있습니다. 창의성과 음악 인지에 관한 다양한 글을 저술해 왔으며, 음악과 모바일 뇌-신체 이미징(mobile brain-body imaging)을 결합한 선도적인 연구에 참여하고 있습니다.
